Welcome to Black Medicine

Here since the last millennium – named long ago on the notion that the native peoples of America once called coffee Black Medicine.

Its character and identity is a cumulative product of those many years of truly beautiful humans who have passed either side of the counter, without whom we would not be here …or who… or what we are…props.

Black Medicine landed in Edinburgh in 1998. Well actually, we just moved downstairs from the old Nicolsons above. Satellite branches came and went leaving just the original which extended into the cellar below

So to move with the times, a website!
